The ‘great falling away happening in the West

Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils (1st Timothy 4:1)

These know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come (2nd Timothy 3:1).

ARE we living in the end times?

Let me take you on a short journey into the modern world and then you can answer my question.

In the ‘developed’ countries around the world, most importantly in the US and in several nations in Europe, you would notice three striking things – mass immigration into the west, an increase in false religions and a growing clamour for alternative lifestyles.

Europe is growing larger by the year with several smaller countries joining the European Economic Committee (EEC).

Christians must realize that alternative lifestyle is a cover-up for homosexual proclivities and licentiousness. It keeps God out of one’s life.

Turn the pages of newspapers and you will see that ecumenicalism is gaining ground the world over.

Every now and then, you will hear a big-time preacher telling us that all religions can not only co-exist but also work together for the greater welfare of humanity. There is no greater humbug than this.

The great apostasy that Apostle Paul spoke with regard to the end time is truly upon us. And the sad fact is the younger generation is clueless in spiritual truth, not knowing right from wrong when morality is at an all-time low. Look around you and you will realize that crimes are on the increase and people across the world are living and following every inclination of their own heart.

What is interesting is the fact that every fabric of society is crumbling and yet people still seem to nurse hope that all will be well soon. And that the unprecedented financial problems that the world is experiencing will soon be over. If you think I am being pessimistic, consider this. At one time businesses used to go bankrupt, now we are seeing countries go bust. Greece is an example. It is so heavily in debt that richer countries have to bail it out.

People just cannot seem to recognize the truth about alternative lifestyles. ‘Your truth may be different from my truth, but who says yours is right and mine is wrong’ is the popular thinking. They hold up like well worn-out placards this line again and again.

This synchronisation of the so-called truths is an ideology that comes from pure ignorance, plain and simple. Well, the great falling away is happening. People are stating that what was once evil is now good and what was once good is now evil (Isaiah 5:20).

Falling away from what?

The truth that has been given to us through the Bible (the infallible and inherent word of truth) is that all men must come to God through Jesus Christ alone. However, people do not want this truth now, and those who once knew this truth once are turning their backs on it. They reject the Word of God and hence reject God Himself.

Falling away is the great apostasy, the great turning their backs on God, and His Word, His Son, His way of salvation, and holiness. They fall away from what is right so they can embrace the joys of sin, no matter how short-lived they might be.

In their desire to create a secular society, governments of the day take God out of the picture completely. They remove the truth and replace it with a ‘anything goes’ mentality. Here we have the near perfect stage for the anti-christ to appear; a godless leader ruling over a near-godless society.

We are seeing this in Europe, especially in England where a spineless leadership that has no power to self govern because it has sold itself to the European Parliament in Brussels exists. Like the rest of Europe it is being governed and told what to do by the political parties. Incidentally, did you know while the EEC parliament has 750 members, seat number 666 remains empty at this moment? (Source: ‘The EU Final World Empire’).

The good news is that truth is still here as the true Bible-believing church keeps on spreading the truth of the gospel as it is contained in the Scripture. Anything outside of the Scripture is fallible, man-made and to be rejected in toto if it is presented as gospel truth. The Bible is very clear in its end-time preaching (eschatology), and those wishing further information on this would do well to read the Bible, the Word of truth and the Word of God.
