“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” Hebrews 13:5.

GOD encourages us to resist the love of money and to find contentment in what we have even though it may be little. In Proverbs 15:17 we read: ‘Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a fatted calf with hatred.’

In a consumerist world that constantly tells us we need more, it’s easy to fall into the trap of always wanting something that we really do not need. But true satisfaction and security cannot be found in material possessions.

Instead, we are reminded that God will never leave us or forsake us. He is always with us, and He is the only one who can truly satisfy our deepest needs. As we trust in Him and find contentment in what we have, we can experience a sense of peace and security that no amount of money or possessions can provide.

PRAYER

God my Father, help me always realize that I guard my way and my conduct. Let me not covet anything that is not mine. Help me be focused on Your grace, provision and protection. Let me realize that anything that does not come from You is evil. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
