CHRISTIANS in Kerala must realize who their real enemies are, BJP Kerala State president K Surendran said on Sunday.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Kerala Latin Catholic Association in Kochi, he said: “Kerala Latin Catholic Church and other churches in Kerala are not realizing who are their friends and foes. The Christian community in Kerala must take a stand by analysing the national and international situation properly. Many Christian countries are disappearing. Probably by 2040 or 2050, several of the countries we proudly call Christian nations will become Islamic countries. There is no doubt about that. If Christian minorities in Kerala and India cannot still understand their enemies, it will be a historical negation.”
The BJP in Kerala is trying to float a Christian dominated political party. Besides, the Syro-Malabar Church Thalassery diocese’s metropolitan Archbishop Mar Joseph Pamplany had said if the BJP led government at the Centre could ensure Rs.300 per kilo of natural rubber from the State, Kerala would give it a member of parliament.
