Pray for Mozambique
According to 2020 data from the National Statistics Institute, 27 percent of citizens are Catholic, 19 percent Muslim, 17 percent evangelical or Pentecostal Christian, 16 percent Zionist Christian, 2 percent Anglican, and less than 5 percent Jewish, Hindu, and Baha’i. Years of suffering has led many Mozambicans to seek spiritual answers, and many churches have been planted! Yet there remains a great need for training and discipleship, particularly among the pastors and leaders of these newly planted churches.
Pray for North Korea
Information about the Christian church in North Korea today is limited, but it is known to survive in the face of intense persecution. It has become an underground church where meetings and worship must be held in secret, and members know that if they are caught they will be thrown in prison or sent to a labor camp. Due to intense government control of the media, most North Koreans have never heard the name of Jesus.
Pray for Egypt
Egypt was a majority-Christian nation for over 1,000 years, and today it remains home to the Middle East’s largest body of Christians – the Coptic Church (12%). Evangelical Christianity is on the rise, though still only about 3% of the population. Yet Islam remains the state religion and the faith of 87% of its people. Recent instability and the presence of the Islamic State have intensified their suffering.
Pray for Israel
That God may bless those in the government with wisdom. Blessings to be upon those in true spiritual authority. For the minority Christians in Israel to have revival and maturity in their walk with God. An outpouring of grace leading to repentance for unsaved Jews and Arabs. God to send and sustain laborers into the fields of Israel. Israel to be protected from attacks of the enemy, both physical and spiritual.
Pray for India
That the cloud of darkness over the nation may go away by the widespread proclamation of the Gospel. Spiritual blindness, superstition, false worship and unholy ways of life to be removed from the lives of the people. Leaders in authority to be granted wisdom to lead the nation in peace and prosperity. For the land to be free from bondage and stranglehold of evil forces. For the Church and missions to grow so every corner of the country is met with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Pray for a powerful move of God
Like Joshua: a generation of those who walk in faith, courage, and authentic relationship with God
Like Elijah: a generation of those who stand against others’ opinions to hold on to God for what is right
Like David: a generation of those who pursue the heart of God above all else
Like Daniel: a generation of those who have the tenacity to worship God come what may.
