CHRISTIANITY must be seen. Someone said once: ‘There can be no such thing as secret discipleship, for either the secrecy destroys the discipleship, or the discipleship destroys the secrecy.’ How is it in our case? Has our secrecy destroyed our faith? Or has our faith destroyed the secrecy around the way we practise it?

THERE was a time when family prayer used to be a regular feature in Christian homes in our country. Prayer preceded supper. If the head of the house was away at work or out of station, the mother would gather her children and lead them in praise and prayer.

THIS morning I was reading Proverbs 10 and I was struck by the number of times the word ‘righteous’ is mentioned in it. I counted all the 32 verses in it and found out that the word ‘righteous’ occurs nine times and its offshoot ‘righteousness’ occurs once.

FOR the life of me, I cannot understand why some people won’t understand that spams and unwanted tags on your Facebook wall are just as irritating as poll graffiti on your freshly painted compound wall.
