People

June 1: Rededicate your family to the Lord today. Thank Him for the wonderful way in which He cared for you and protected you last month. Ask Him to cover you and your family in the blood of the Lamb this new month.

June 2: A few states in India have new governments and new leaders. Pray for them today. In 1Timothy 2:1-2 we are asked to pray for ‘kings and all who are in authority.’

June 3: Pray for Bro. Emmanuel in Rishikesh. After years of prayer, he has begun a fellowship in his area. Five families are coming together to praise and worship God.

June 4: Pray for a breakthrough in Joyce Braganza’s prison ministry in Mumbai. May doors that are shut now be opened in the name of Jesus.

June 5: Pray for our church leaders today. Pray for your pastor’s own walk of faith – for his prayer life, for his faith, that he would grow spiritually and in his love for God.

June 6: Pray for Emmanuel who leads a small church in Coimbatore. Pray that his work and ministry will impact more people in his neighborhood.

June 7: Pray for village churches that you know. If you are not able to help them with your offerings, let your prayers be made for their protection, provision and extension.

June 8: Pray for Sadhu Benny and his ministry. The aging evangelist is looking for a Godly man to be his manager. Pray that God leads such men to him and makes one of them part of his ministry.

June 9: If you are married, pray for your spouse today. If there is any bitterness between you, work on reconcilement. Your prayers will be hindered otherwise (1 Peter 3:7).

June 10: Pray for your extended family today. As a believer it is your duty to pray for even your cousins, nephews and nieces besides your relatives in-law.

Issues

June 11: Continue to pray for a pleasant summer season this year. Like last year, the country should receive sufficient rainfall this year too (Zechariah 10:1; Deut 11:14).

June 12: An Orissa court has sentenced 13 people for their involvement in the Kandhamal violence. Pray that this does not lead to deterioration of law and order and more trouble for Christians.

June 13: Pray for the secular media groups operating in the country and around the world. Christians are increasingly criticized and lampooned for their faith in Jesus Christ. Even Biblical characters are not spared.

June 14: Will the Central Government support an international ban on Endosulfan, a toxic insecticide that has caused deaths and widespread health problems in our country? It will. If we pray, and our leaders impress on the government.

June 15: Pray for the welfare of Christian charity homes in India. In April, at the behest of the Sangh Parivar, the Child Welfare Department raided Christian organizations in Mangalore disrupting their activities.

June 16: Pray for business people that you know who are in debt. May God provide them a breakthrough in the new financial year, give them new opportunities and set them free.

June 17: Pray for people who are caught in the grip of cult groups. May God open the eyes of those people who live under the deception of cult teachings.

June 18: Pray that more people will believe in the sanctity of marriage in the coming days. Marriage is a holy institution ordained by God.

June 19: Pray that the negative fallout of Osama bin Laden’s death does not lead to persecution of Christians in Pakistan and the Middle East.

June 20: Pray for business group that help advance the Kingdom of our Lord. May such groups be blessed by congeniality among its workers, increased production and debt-free transactions.

Nations

June 21: Pray for Pakistan. The ISI, its intelligence wing, is widely perceived as aiding the cause of banned terrorist organizations like the al-Qaida and Taliban. Pray for a change in its anti-India stance.

June 22: Pray for Nepal today. The world’s only Hindu kingdom needs Jesus Christ as much as any nation in the world. Pray for more ministries to reach the people of Nepal with the love of Jesus Christ.

June 23: Let’s continue to pray for Japan today. Christianity is a minority religion there with less than 1% of the population claiming Christian belief or affiliation.

June 24: Let’s intercede for our country today. May every one of its peoples have an opportunity to hear the Gospel, read the Bible in their own language and come to the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

June 25: Pray for the Middle Eastern countries today. Pray the recent unrest in Egypt, Yemen, Syria, Bahrain and Libya results in a positive change for the people and the cause of the Gospel.

June 26: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem today. Christians account for only 2.1 pc in Israel, while Jews constitute 75.8 pc and Muslims form 16.8 pc of the population. Pray according to Psalm 122:6.

June 27: Pray for Algeria. The largest number of unreached people groups besides India in the world is in this country.

June 28: Pray for Britain. In a recent survey, 35 percent of the population said they had no faith, while 8 percent said they were of another faith.

June 29: Pray for Russia – the country that plays a significant role in the prophecies concerning Israel in the last days. Pray for evangelization efforts in that country.

June 30: Pray for our nation again. We are witnessing unprecedented levels of corruption in high places. Pray for a cleansing of bad elements.
