Karnataka is slated to go to Assembly polls on May 10 and the counting of votes will take place on May 13.

Gandhi attended the Budget session on Friday briefly before the Lok Sabha was adjourned for an hour and later convened for the day.

The Lok Sabha Secretariat can disqualify Rahul Gandhi and declare his Wayanad constituency vacant, said legal experts. The Election Commission will then announce a special election for the seat.

The court approved Gandhi’s bail on a surety of Rs 15,000 and stayed the sentence for 30 days to allow him to appeal.

No government on earth has ever been perfect. No government yet to come till this side of eternity will be perfect either. Nor do they always follow God's laws and plans. The Narendra Modi government will be no exception.

The country has been through hell in the past five years. Lynchings in the name of cow protection, demonetisation, GST, religious tensions, tanking of the GDP growth, gagging of all institutions and the rise of aggressive Hindutva politics have seen minorities being terrorised, the economy getting battered, justice being denied and the nation becoming a laughing stock in the international arena.
