An open door is a gateway to blessings, communion with God and fellowship with men. There are three gates the Bible talks about that believers need to enter and pass through.

That is the first thing we need to know about Christmas. Christmas is all about the Word becoming flesh and making His dwelling among us.

Breakthrough brethren in the Bible were often nameless characters. They were often in the background and content to be that way. They always had good words to say about others. They sincerely wished their friends well. They were all change makers. They did not hanker for gratitude or stay back for glory. Once the job was done, they disappeared from the scene.

The Man on the cross who said in Matthew 28:20: “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” 2,000 years ago is still faithful. He will be with you just as He said He will.

The one who lives and does according to the word of the Lord will also have his farewell from the world according to the word of the Lord. It will be in His time and for His pleasure. Yes, precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints (Psalm 115:16).

That is revival. People returning to the Lord. Sinners repenting. Hundreds of thousands of people crying their hearts out for forgiveness in the realization that they have no hope aside from Jesus Christ. Nations casting their idols and returning to the Lord of lords and King of kings. That’s revival!

Israel is at the brink of a war. In the heaviest fighting since 2014, Israel and Hamas are engaged in a bitter fight since Sunday night.

Eternal life is only available in Jesus Christ. If we are not sharing this precious truth with others, we should not be calling ourselves as followers of Christ.

No matter how bleak your situation is, I urge you to count on the Lord who overcame the world (John 16:33). He will sustain you and carry you through and through.

Micah 6:8 puts it beautifully. ‘He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
