IF the upper house of the Swiss parliament has its say, incest could soon become legal in Switzerland.
A case for a new law has been put forward as some lawmakers a
rgued that the current law banning incest is ‘obsolete’ since only three cases have been dealt with by the courts since 1984.
The upper house is also of the view that children will still be protected by laws governing abuse and pedophilia.
A draft law has been framed, decriminalizing sex between consenting family members which will now be considered by the government.
