GLOBAL Advance, a ministry that trains pastors, business leaders and church planters to help the body of Christ in the Great Commission, has scheduled a series of training meetings across India this year.

Two such training meetings, called Frontline Shepherds Conference, are scheduled to be held in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh and Gandhinagar in Gujarat this month.

In April, a meeting is planned in Karnal while in May and August two meetings are scheduled to be held in Ludhiana and Chandigarh. Before the end of the year, another meeting will be held in Noida in November.

According to a release from Global Advance, at each Frontline Shepherds Conference, transferable concepts are taught by proven pastors through their life and life message.

Participants of the conference are challenged to have a daily personal time with God through prayer and Bible study, plant a new church within the next 12 months and send missionaries to unreached areas.

David Shibley, founder of Global Advance, says the need to train area pastors and church planters is significant.

According to him, only about 8 percent of pastors have formal training.

Global Advance recently hosted a Frontline Shepherds conference in Kolkata. The conference hosted over 400 church planters and pastors, willing and ready to learn how to best serve Christ in their nation.

The conference, which trained attendees on things like character development, leadership and discipleship, was received with tears of joy and motivation by many.

Talking about the success of the conference, Shibley said: “One pastor came up to me with tears in his eyes saying, ‘This was the last stop on the train. If God didn’t do something in my heart in this conference, I was going to quit the ministry’.”

The ministry is currently planning to take the conference to a secure location in the Middle East. Find out more at their website.
