BJP wants a development corp for Christians in India

b-s-yeddyurappa_0DETERMINED TO EXPAND its base among the minorities, the BJP has demanded the state government to constitute a Christian Development Corporation and also implement the Anwar Manippady report on encroachment of Wakf properties in the state.

BJP Minority Morcha adopted resolutions to this effect at its Executive Committee meeting held here on Tuesday. BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, stressed the need for liberal financial grants for the development of the Christian community.

Accusing the Siddaramaiah government of treating minority communities as vote banks, Yeddyurappa wanted the state government to implement the Anwar Manippady report which has “exposed huge encroachment of Wakf properties in the state by many influential politicians”.

State president of BJP Minority Morcha Abdul Azeem urged Yeddyurappa to field minority candidates from at least 10  Assembly constituencies in the state in the next Assembly election. The New Indian Express
